為什麼要特別說「民主」剛果？可不可以直接說 Congo 剛果？
不行！因為 DRC 旁邊有另一個國家，叫：
Republic of the Congo 剛果共和國
- 簡稱 Congo / the Congo
- 所以如果你說「剛果」，大家會以為你講的是 Republic of the Congo
DRC vs Congo
- DRC 以前是被 Belgium 比利時殖民，以前叫 Belgian Congo
- DRC 比剛果大很多；人口、土地面積都是
- 也叫 Congo-Kinshasa (首都、最大城市)
- 那 Republic of the Congo 是被法國殖民，以前叫 French Congo, Middle Congo
- 他們的人都叫 Congolese
